What is WBENC?
The Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) is the leading certifier of women-owned businesses in the U.S. and plays a vital role in expanding opportunities through supplier diversity, corporate partnerships, and peer collaboration. CFJ Manufacturing has proudly been a certified member since 1998.
Each year, we attend the WBENC National Conference—an annual event that brings together women-owned businesses, corporate and government buyers, and key stakeholders to network, learn, and grow. It's one of the highlights of our year and has played a meaningful role in our company’s journey.
This Year’s Conference: New Orleans, Louisiana
In June, our team traveled to New Orleans to attend the 2025 WBENC National Conference. It was a high-energy week filled with opportunity, connection, and creativity. There’s something special about the energy in New Orleans—it’s the perfect backdrop for a week of celebration and collaboration. We look forward to this event every year and always leave feeling inspired, supported, and ready to grow.
Between conference sessions, our team even managed to enjoy some local culture, including a quick stop at Café Du Monde for coffee and beignets. It was the perfect way to soak in the spirit of the city while recharging for a packed week ahead.
Highlights From the Event
Our time at WBENC 2025 was filled with meaningful conversations and memorable experiences. Some of our favorite moments included:
Visiting exhibitor booths and learning from other inspiring women-owned businesses
Participating in educational roundtables and supplier-focused sessions
Attending networking events, including the lively Masquerade at the Bayou celebration
Strengthening relationships with current clients and building new connections
It was also an honor to see our CEO, Sharon Evans, take part as a mentor through WBENC. Her continued leadership helps lift up the next generation of women entrepreneurs.
One of the highlights this year was seeing the creativity from each Regional Partner Organization (RPO) as they unveiled their uniquely designed floats. Our own float brought us together with the entire network—it was such a fun and collaborative way to connect with other women-owned businesses and celebrate our shared mission.
